The Holidays at Youth Focus
The holidays can be a difficult time of uncertainty, disappointment, and other complex emotions for the youth in our shelter and other Youth Focus programs. Imagine being away from your family during the time of year when families are in focus. Kids feel angry and frustrated, hoping their holiday wishes will be granted and they will reunite with their families in time to spend the holidays at home.
Send a Kid a Card
Send a card with a festive holiday greeting to our youth who cannot be home for the holidays. All cards will be displayed for our youth to enjoy. Send cards addressed to Youth Focus; C/O Send a Kid a Card at 405 Parkway, Suite A, Greensboro, NC 27401.

Honor Someone with a Donation
Make a donation in honor of someone this holiday season, and we’ll provide the card, letting them know a gift has been made in their name. You can purchase an honor card online by clicking the donate button. Check “This gift is in honor…” and write "Honor Card" in the comment box. Include the person's name and mailing address, and we can mail the card for you. If you want to purchase multiple cards or you’d like to pick them up, contact Maggie at mcook@youthfoucs.org.
Give a Youth a Gift
Purchase a gift from our Amazon wish list and help spread holiday cheer all year long. By purchasing a gift from the wish list, we can ensure every youth has something special to open on Christmas, even when they come into our program right before the holiday. These gifts can also be used throughout the year for our incentive program to promote positive behavior or to reward a youth for accomplishing a special goal during their stay with us.
