Get Involved

Volunteer opportunities vary based on our need, and your availability and unique skill set. We are always in need of extra hands with open hearts.

Every donation makes a difference. Youth Focus is funded through a combination of state and federal grants, and private donations.

Spread the Word

Attend or host an event, share a post on social media, invite us to speak at your event, tell a friend or youth in need about the work we do.

Make a Difference

Youth Focus operates programs serving youth in Guilford County. Act Together, our crisis care center, operates around-the-clock 365 days a year, making sustainable funding vital to keeping our doors open for youth in crisis. Funding is provided by government grants, corporations and foundations, and individuals like you.

Attend an Event

We host and participate in events throughout the year, and you’re invited!

  • GRAWL Brawl XV: GRAWLoween
  • Support National Safe Place Week on social media March 16-20, 2020
  • Attend My Sister Susan's House Anniversary event

Take a Tour

In the very near future Youth Focus facilities will be open for tours.  Stay tuned for more details!

Volunteer with Us

It takes a village, and Youth Focus is appreciative of any and all community support. Individuals, groups and corporations are all equally appreciated and needed volunteers.

  • Tutoring and mentoring youth
  • Skilled beauticians to help youth with their hair
  • Remodeling the rest rooms at our emergency shelters
  • Provide a meal for our Act Together Supper Club
  • Yard work and gardening
  • Paint a mural on the wall in one of our facilities
  • Help clean, organize and repair facilities
Given the current state and local guidelines for COVID-19, Youth Focus has temporarily suspended all on-site visitors and volunteers. This does NOT include clients or those accompanying clients to appointments. Those coming on-site will be asked to wear a mask for the duration of the appointment and limit the number of accompanying guests. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the safety of our youth and staff.
